Pranburi  -  Sam Roi Yot

Phraya Nakhon Cave

Phraya Nakhon is a large cave which has a hole in the ceiling allowing sunlight to penetrate. In the cave, there is a four-gable roofed royal pavilion called Phra Thinang Khuha Kharuhat, built in 1890 for King Rama V's visits. At the right time of year, when the sunlight shines from a certain angle through a sinkhole above the royal pavilion, the sinkhole opening illuminates a nice beam of light over the pavilion, creating a spectacular and photogenic view.

Namtok Pa La-U

An 11-tiered waterfall located in the verdant forest area of Kaeng Krachan national park where various kinds of birds and butterflies are found. Some levels of the waterfall are reachable through Trekking trails, of which visitors may be able to spot some wildlife animals and several species of rare birds along the way. The best time to visit the fall is from November to April and to watch the butterflies from 7 A.M. to 10 A.M.

Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park

This national park is located 45 kilometers from Hua Hin, between Pran Buri and Prachuap Khiri Khan with the high-rise limestone mountain as its benchmark. The name of the park means a mountain with 300 peaks. With its scenic views of lofty mountains, the park is close to unspoiled beaches and coves.

Pran Buri Forest Park

The pine forest stretches 1 km to the east of the park. You can Overlook at the sea, Lion Island, Khao Takiap and Khao Tao. Interesting point is the mangrove nature trail with a wooden bridge elevated. You can explore and study about natural resources, mangrove ecosystems closely with spaced 1,000 meters in length. About small boat activities, There is a small pier connected to the bridge that is a boat shelter. You can do the cruise, study the ecosystem and experience the natural beauty of the mangroves.

Khao Daeng Viewpoint

A viewpoint at a 157 meters peak, the trailhead to the viewpoint trail is around 700 meters from the headquarters. This viewpoint has an impressive 360° view over the surrounding valley and mountains. Long-tailed macaques and birds are common in the area. There is a parking space where the trail starts uphill. The trail is rocky all the way up and quite steep. No ranger guidance needed to walk the trail up, it is easy to follow, no risk of getting lost.

Wat Khao Daeng

Wat Khao Daeng is a classic Buddhist monastery in Khao Daeng Sub-district of Kui Buri District in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.This beautiful temple is erected next to a dramatic tall cliff located nearby the famous Khao Daeng viewpoint. Visitors can also take a boatride along the Khao Daeng canal to enjoy both the rocky natural surrounding and also local fishing village scenery.

Pak Nam Pran Village

This Village is at the mouth of the river flowing slowly into the sea. It is an ancient town, in which time passes amazingly slowly. People passing it will see colorful fishing boats parking near a pier, sand beaches and delicious and well-known seafood shops, including fresh and dried seafood product shops such as fresh and sun dried squid, dried sea fish, dried shrimp and shrimp paste, etc.

Bueng Bua Boardwalk

"Bueng Bua Boardwalk is a kilometer long wooden boardwalk over the freshwater marsh on the west side of the park. The boardwalk has spectacular nice views over the surroundings. Many freshwater bird species, especially the grey-headed swamphen can be seen around."

Khao Kalok Beach

Khao Kalok Beach or Naresuan Beach is a beach that stretches from Pranburi Beach to Khao Kalok. The soft brown sandy beach makes you feel comfortable with the cool breeze and quiet atmosphere. There is a small hill to the south of the beach shaped like a skull, so locals call it Khao Kalok Beach (Skull beach). It is another peaceful tourist destination that is perfect for relaxation.

Khao Daeng Canal

It is a canal through mangrove forests that flows around Khao Daeng Mountain around 1.5 km from headquarters. It is possible to take a boat trip from a temple area near the Khao Daeng Village. Best time for the tour is in the late afternoon, it takes about one hour, giving the possibility to enjoy the beautiful views of the mangrove forests and limestone hills rising around. A boat tour group of max 6 people and can only be arranged on the spot.

Kiteboarding In Pran Buri

Kiteboarding is becoming more famous not only for weekend tourists but also for kiteboarders. Kiteboarding or kitesurfing combines some best Adventure water sports like surfing, wakeboarding, and waterskiing together. To play kiteboard, an athlete needs to ride a surfboard harnessed to a large kite. Its strong northeastern winds from November to April makes the 16km long Beach of Pran Buri the favorite Destination for the sport.
